In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) good health is directly related to the balance of Yin and Yang qualities within oneself. If Yin and Yang become unbalanced, one of the qualities is considered deficient.

If you think about how you feel when you are really well, you might realise you don't think of wellness at all! Everything in your life just flows and moves seamlessly in harmony. This is precisely the state TCM seeks to create, that of balance.

Energy is everything

Qi the energy or life force within you and all around you. TCM has a complete understanding of energy and how it moves and functions throughout the body.

Meridians

There is a vast network of invisible energy pathways connected to each other and every atom, cell, tendon, bone. organ, skin everything in your body. There are 12 major meridians that run on each side of the body. Each meridian corresponds to an internal organ. Carrying energy, blood and information these life giving pathways help coordinate the work of the organs and keep your body balanced.

As long is Qi flows freely your meridians and organs work in harmony, your body can remain healthy.

Your bodies meridians can become clogged. This affects the function of the corresponding organs and the whole body, mind and spirit.

Meridians are incredibly sensitive. They carry the effects of healing energy throughout the entire being.

It is this effect that allows TCM to work, by using acupuncture, tui na, chinese fire cupping, gua sha, Qi gong and herbs, the flow of energy in the meridians can be stimulated, restoring balance and health.
